What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our discovery call form we collect your name, email address, city, the space or project you told us about, your timeline, and (if you choose to provide it) your phone number and any message you write. We collect this because we cannot respond to an inquiry without it.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our host records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visit. If we use analytics software, it collects aggregate usage data of the same kind.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule a discovery call
- To prepare an estimate and, if you hire us, to deliver the work
- To keep records of projects and correspondence
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site
We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to a marketing list because you submitted the discovery call form. If we start a newsletter, joining it will be a separate, deliberate action on your part.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate: our website host and form handler, our email provider, and any scheduling or invoicing software we use. Those providers process the data on our behalf. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Photography of your home
We do not photograph or publish any client project without permission. If you would like to be excluded from photography entirely, or if you require a non-disclosure agreement, tell us before the project begins and we will accommodate it. Existing permission can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us.
Amazon affiliate links
Our Shop Our Faves page contains Amazon affiliate links. If you follow one, Amazon may set cookies and collect data according to its own privacy policy, which we do not control. We receive a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.
Cookies
This site uses only what is necessary to function, plus any analytics we have enabled. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
Your rights in Texas
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents may have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, to obtain a copy of it, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@messybunsorganizedspaces.com. We will respond within the period the law allows and may need to verify your identity first.
Retention and security
We keep inquiry and project records for as long as we have a business reason to, then delete them. We take reasonable measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
